Mr. Sami Vohra, the founder of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Board, was honored to receive an invitation to celebrate Qatar National Day and discuss the growth of commercial relations along the Belt and Road and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor from Sheikh Jassim bin Muhammad bin Thani and Honorable Brother Mishal M. Al Ansari (CPEC).
I have had a long-standing relationship with Qatar and consider it a friend, so it fills me with joy to see the country achieve such great success in recent years. Because of its advantageous location at the crossroads of the Middle East, Europe, and Asia, Qatar is a perfect partner for the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), which seeks to connect the hamlets and cities of the world by means of land and water routes.
In addition, I am heartened by the expanding economic links between Qatar and China, notably those that have been fostered by the CPEC. The China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is an essential part of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), and it has already made substantial headway toward fostering economic development in Pakistan.
Through the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), I believe China and Qatar will have the opportunity to further enhance their connection with one another. By cooperating with one another, we will be able to open up new opportunities for commerce and investment, which will in turn foster the expansion of both nations.
I would like to take this opportunity to offer my heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of Qatar on this very momentous occasion, Qatar National Day. In addition, I would like to express my appreciation to Sheikh Jassim bin Muhammad bin Thani and Honorable Brother Mishal M. Al Ansari for the invitation that they extended to me, and I look forward to carrying on our conversation over this vital matter. I hope that Qatar and the CPECB are successful in their efforts to strengthen the commercial linkages that exist along the CPEC and the Belt and Road corridors.
